And God asked the feline spirit,
”Are you ready to come home?”
”Oh, yes, quite so” replied the
precious soul,”I may be just a cat,
but I am most able to decide things
for myself”.

"Are you coming then?" asked God.
"Soon," replied the whiskered angel,
"But I must come slowly, for my human
friend is troubled, you see, he needs
me, quite certainly."

"But doesn't he understand?" asked God,
"That you'll never leave him? That your
souls are intertwined for all eternity?
That nothing is created, or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever."

"Eventually he will understand," replied
the glorious cat, "For I will whisper
into his heart that I am always with him,
I just am....
Forever and Ever and Ever."

She was so very special
And was so from the start
We held her in our arms
But mainly in our heart

And like a single drop of rain
That on still waters fall,
Her life did ripples make
And touched the lives of all.

She's gone to stay with angels
In heaven up above

Goodbye. xx

Goodbyes are not forever
And nor is it the end
When angels come to call away
A loved one or a friend.

The empty place that’s left behind
Within this world we know
Reminds us just how brief a stay
We have before we go.

So when it’s time to bid farewell
To one we’ll dearly miss
Let’s just say we’ll meet again
And promise them with this.

The true gift is that love remains
Although we now must part.
Until forever and beyond
